Surrey University: Student Finance and Personal Statements

Surrey University is a top tier Russell Group University and we are delighted that outreach officers will be visiting us to talk to parents and students.

Student Finance is a cause of much concern for students and parents alike. Surrey University will explain the system of Tuition Fee and Maintenance Loans, as well as how and when they are paid back.

In preparation for our ‘Personal Statement Day’, Surrey University will also explain what universities are looking for in a personal statement.

Thursday 13th July - Personal Statements Day

With guidance from tutors and one-to-one interviews with subject teachers, students will create the first full draft of their personal statements today. This is a crucial element of any university application and we will give all the support students needs to produce the best possible version before submitting their application in the autumn.
