Mr V Tamizian – Deputy Head of Sixth Form (Academic) and Head of UCAS
The Deputy Head of Sixth Form (Academic) and Head of UCAS role is concerned with monitoring, guiding and supporting all the students through their A levels studies.
I support students through the Sixth Form application process, helping them make decisions about which A levels would work best for them. Once Year 12 begins, I help students to settle in to Sixth Form life and support them in making the academic leap from GCSEs to A levels, whilst also making sure they are taking advantage of the fantastic enrichment opportunities available to them at WLFS.
I continue to provide academic support to students throughout their time in the Sixth Form and I'm always available to talk if they have any concerns. Furthermore, to make sure that no one slips through the net, we have a system of monitoring and will intervene at the earliest point, providing a detailed plan of support for any student who needs it.
