2022 A-level Results

Best examined A-level results ever at West London Free School!

West London Free School Sixth Form students have achieved their best set of results ever in nationally examined A-levels, with one in four students achieving straight As and A*s and 45% of all grades either A* or A.  This is a terrific achievement, and we are so proud of our students.

Of all the A-level exams sat by WLFS students in summer 2022:

  • 16% were graded A*
  • 45% were graded A* to A
  • 73% were graded A* to B
  • 91% were graded A* to C

Four WLFS students have achieved straight A*s, and 27 students have achieved straight As and A*s (representing one quarter of Year 13). In addition, over half (55%) of WLFS students have achieved BBB or higher.  94% of WLFS students have met their university offers and will attend a university of their choice.  As it stands on results day:

  • 75% of applicants have achieved grades to attend their first-choice destination.
  • 19% of applicants have achieved grades to attend their second-choice destination.
  • 100% of bursary students from a disadvantaged background have got into their first or second choice institution. These include King’s College London, University of Nottingham and Durham University.
  • 7 WLFS students have achieved places at Oxford and Cambridge.
  • One student has achieved a Chemical Engineering Degree Apprenticeship with Haleon and Strathclyde University.
  • WLFS students will be studying at a range of prestigious art and music colleges including Camberwell College of Arts, Kensington and Chelsea College, the Abbey Road Studios Scholarship Programme and the Royal College of Music on a full scholarship.
  • 52% of WLFS students have achieved places at a Russell Group University.

This represents a significant improvement in student attainment at WLFS since the last set of national exams in 2019. They are a fantastic set of results, about which our students, their families should be extremely proud.

Thank you to all our outstanding Sixth Form teachers and staff.

Haven’t our Year 13 students done well! They were extremely well taught over the last two years and responded with hard work and continual support for one and other. They are a fantastic year group who will be very much missed by the school, but will now go on to greater things at some of the best colleges and universities in the UK and abroad. We wish them well in these future endeavours, and would like to say a big well done to everyone one of them.
