Instrumental / Singing lessons at West London Free School

Over 350 instrumental and singing lessons are given at WLFS per week. We offer tuition in all the main orchestral instruments with our team of specialist Visiting Music Teachers (VMTs): 

Strings (violin, viola, cello, double bass)

Woodwind (flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon, saxophone)

Brass (French horn, trumpet, trombone, euphonium, tuba)

Singing

Keyboard (piano, organ)

Percussion (drum kit, timpani/orchestral percussion)

Guitar (Classical, Acoustic, Electric, Bass)

Pricing

From September 2025, prices are as follows:

20 minute individual lessons - £128.50 for Michaelmas (11 lessons), £128.50 for Lent (10 lessons), and £93.50  for Trinity (8 lessons).

30 minute individual lessons - £192.50 for Michaelmas (11 lessons), £192.50 for Lent (10 lessons), £140 for Trinity (8 lessons).

30 minute shared lessons* - £96.25 for Michaelmas (11 lessons), £96.25 for Lent (10 lessons), £70 for Trinity (8 lessons).

Additional Information

Pupils in receipt of free school meals or eligible for the pupil premium grant need only pay 50% of the above fees.

Thanks to the generosity of the WLFS Foundation’s ‘Rare Instrument Scheme’, further discounts may be available to any pupil wishing to study instruments including oboe, bassoon, French Horn, trombone, tuba, viola, double bass, and organ. Please contact the music office to apply.

Music scholars receive 30 minute lessons on one instrument with 50% of the cost paid for by the school, but still need to apply using the online application form above. 

* Shared lessons are subject to availability as we need to ensure we pair pupils of the same standard. We will contact you if we are unable to find a suitable match.
