Co-Curricular Activities
The school has a very strong and proud tradition in a number of sports. Within the co-curricular provision there are weekly training sessions for all specific sports. The different sports are run either by a member of the highly experienced sports staff or a high level external coach. The expert coaching within the co-curricular schedule has enabled pupils to make significant progress and go on to represent the school at local regional and national level. In all of the sports on offer, the school participates in competitive inter-school fixtures against local and regional schools.
Inter-house competitions are also run and encourage every pupil to represent their house in at least three competitive sports a year. These competitions are run every term, culminating in a sports day during Trinity term, to which all parents will be invited. Many of the pupils will also be given the opportunity to attend the Sports Awards evening and receive the recognition they deserve with specific sports awards.

Parental Involvement
Help your child bring the right kit on the right day. Support your child when he or she is selected to compete in school fixtures. School sport should come before club sport and if your child is selected to represent the school, he or she will be expected to do so.
Respect our 'no note' policy. We believe that if a child is fit for school, he or she is fit for sport. Many injuries or illnesses mean it is impossible to take a full and active part in some sports, but the teacher in charge will expect your child to change for the lesson and will find suitable activities for him or her to do, such as coaching, umpiring or refereeing.
