Why do we need your support?
West London Free School is one of the country’s leading state secondary schools and excellence on this scale relies on more than government funding alone. Since the school’s foundation in 2011, generous support from WLFS families has enabled us to offer a rich and inclusive co-curricular programme covering sport, music, drama and other after school clubs.
The government’s decision to award an unfunded teacher pay rise for the year 2025-26 means that state schools across the country are struggling to make ends meet. The West London Free School is no exception. If we are to continue the exceptional and rounded education that we are so proud to offer to your children at the WLFS, we will need a significant increase in your donations this academic year.
Our Goal for 2025-26
Last year, WLFS families contributed £62,000 through monthly donations. This year, we aim to raise £150,000.
In order to do so, we need to grow the number of our families giving monthly.
The recommended donation we are asking for is £50 per month per child. However, we are aware that families have very different means, and know that this figure will not be appropriate for all. Currently, some families give £5 per month, others give £200 per month. Every contribution makes a difference. What matters most is participation.
Last year, 127 families gave regularly to the school. This year, we want to raise that number to 250 families. If we reach this figure, and achieve an average donation of £50/per month, we will hit our fundraising target for 2025-26.

You can set up a regular monthly donation in just a few clicks via our secure Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) page by clicking on the link below. If you’re a UK taxpayer, don’t forget to tick the Gift Aid box – we can claim an extra 25% on top of your donation at no extra cost to you.
How Your Donations Will Be Used
The impact you can make to the school community with your donations is considerable.
If we reach our £150,000 target, your donations will fund:
- A broader and more inclusive co-curricular programme
- A significantly enhanced Activities Week for Years 7–9, including residential trips
- Refurbishment of key learning spaces, including a second computer suite
- One-to-one careers guidance and work experience placements
- Additional mental health support and wellbeing staff
- Targeted pastoral support for students who need it most

The WLFS Foundation is the trading name used by the Knowledge Schools Foundation Trust (KSFT) when raising money for the West London Free School secondary.
